An automatic way of removing duplicated products in search results.
Your online travel platform could be connected to multiple inventory suppliers. This is great, as it gives you a wide selection of products to sell to your customers.
But there is a downside.
Let's say Hotel X signs up to Supplier 1 to sell their rooms.
Now because Hotel X is only concerned with maximising sales (after all, you can't sell last nights room, tonight) they sign up to sell their rooms through Supplier 2 and Supplier 3 as well.
If you have a connection to Supplier 1, 2 and 3, there is a possibility that Hotel X would appear 3 times in the same search result, which will be confusing to your customers.
Our Monolith technology solves this problem, by identifying duplicate products in search results and displaying only the cheapest option.
Here's how it works...
Step 1
Monolith runs in the background, to identify duplicate products supplied from multiple suppliers
Step 2
The software carries out a number of checks, to confirm the products are actually a duplicate
Step 3
The cheapest option of the product is displayed to the customer, and the duplicate options are hidden
Good to know...
As Monolith is a pre-set, back end process, there are no configuration options to manage. It just works!
